Functionality
A small dimensions device (about 12x8x2 cm), can connect a normal phone to Messagenet VoIP Network, to make and receive calls.
Its specific plug can be connected to the normal phone line to use the phone when the VoIP service is unactive, for instance when the electric power supply is suspended.
Requirements
The adapter must be connected to an Ethernet plug, so you need:
- A"hub" or "switch" device to connect the adapter, or a router with a free Ethernet plug.
- Otherwise, an Ethernet plug on your PC, to insert the adapter between PC and Internet connection.
- In both cases, in the standard configuration provided by Messagenet, the LAN to which the adapter is to be connected must have the DHCP protocol.
- LAN must be configurated in order to let the UDP ports from 5060 tp 65535 reach the Internet network.
Warning: it can not be used with an USB and/or dial-up Internet connection..
Installation
The device has 4 plugs:
- LAN: per la connessione al PC
- WAN: for the connection to router/hub/switch
- PHONE: for the connection to the phone
- LINE: for the optional connection to the normal telephone line
Example: connection to a hub, switch or a free Ethernet plug on the router.
With this configuration, the normal phone becomes a new element of your LAN, just like one more PC of your network. You need a connection to the phone line only if you want to use the phone also without the VoIP service.

With this configuration, the adapter is inserted between the PC and the router.

Requirements
The phone must be connected to an Ethernet plug, so you need:

- LAN must be configurated in order to let UDP ports from 5060 to 65535 to reach the Internet network.
Warning: it can not be used with dial-up and/or USB internet connections.

Instructions for use of the Mytel Pro keyboard
The device works completely only if used SJphone with Windows 2000 or XP operating system.
Once you have installed and configurated the device, you must:
- Download the drivers for (SJphone driver for WebPoint USBphone) from SJphone site
- Connect Mytel Pro to your USB port
- Start SJphone
- Configure the software to use Messagenet services
